Milna has existed for over four hundred years, and the stone houses and the Baroque church of the famous master Ignjac Macanović attest to the town's rich past and history. On the island, road and sea traffic are connected into a single transport system. The island of Brač itself can be reached very easily using sea, road or air transport.

Connections with other islands and the mainland

During the season, the ferry from the port in Split connects the islands of Šolta, Vis, Brač (Supetar and Milna), Hvar, Korčula and Lastovo, while the catamaran operates daily, in both directions, between Split, Brač, Makarska, Korčula, Mljet and Dubrovnik.

All places on the island of Brač are well connected by state, county or local roads. There are also a large number of maintained unclassified roads on the island that serve as bypasses or agricultural roads. The ferry port of Supetar is about 20 km from Milna, and a bus runs daily on the Milna-Supetar route. The timetable is coordinated with the arrivals and departures of the ferry. 
In addition to buses, the island also has a well-organized taxi service.

Bobovišća

You can only experience Bobovišće if you climb up to Stari Bobovišće, a settlement of harmonious stone architecture. You will notice the church of St. George from the 17th century, completed just over a hundred years ago. A deep bay on the west coast of Brač hides the centuries-old seaside town of Bobovišća.
Boaters will choose between Vičja Luka and Bobovišće, two ports located in two arms of the bay.
Both will offer peace, beauty and comfort, but the old, stone houses of Bobovišće leave few people indifferent. In most parts of the place, it is as if time has stood still. The centuries-old house of the Gligo family and the old oil mills still breathe today as they did in ancient times, inviting you to experience irretrievably lost times.
