MAYOR'S WORD:
The Municipality of Milna strategically and systematically designs the development of all its settlements. In this regard, in accordance with the obligation arising from the Act on the System of Strategic Planning and Development Management of the Republic of Croatia, I have adopted and present to you the Implementation Program of the Municipality of Milna for the period 2022-2025. This strategic document creates a vision, development goals, and measures and activities for the coming period.
The Implementation Program covers the vast majority of the activities of the Municipality, municipal institutions, institutions and civil society associations, all with the aim of improving the quality of life in our Municipality. I would especially like to invite other stakeholders of our Municipality in the public and civil sectors to define their development plans and align them with the Implementation Program of the Municipality of Milna.
Our fundamental goal and task should be to realize all defined projects and programs from this Implementation Program to the greatest extent possible. We are aware that the realization of planned projects will largely depend on available sources of financing from European funds, national and county sources of financing, and especially on the sources of income of the Municipality. We have already launched many projects and there is no question at all whether they will be realized (Centre for Maritime History of Milna, Mortuary, Reconstruction of the Racić Coast, project for the new building of the Milna Kindergarten, renovation of the ŠRC Bregana)
The Implementation Program of the Municipality of Milna for the period 2022-2025 is aligned with the National Development Strategy 2030 and is in line with the objectives of the new Regional and Cohesion Policy of the European Union for the period 2021-2027, and in particular with the National Island Development Plan 2021-2027.
This document is the foundation and represents an important prerequisite in the process of applying projects to future calls for funding, therefore the need to adopt this document is very important.
Finally, it is necessary to emphasize that this Implementation Program is not final, but is part of a continuous process that we will review together and, as needed, change, upgrade and adapt to future emerging circumstances.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in the development of this strategic document, especially Aktiva jdoo, external associates and employees of the Unified Administrative Department of the Municipality of Milna.
