A short break in Milna – stories from the sea through words, pictures and clicks

On December 6th, Milna enters the final phase of the project "A Short Break in Milna - Stories from the Sea through Words, Pictures and Clicks": the space has been refined, the educational promenade has been completed, and the whole story of Milnar's fishing tradition now lives through text and QR technology.

The final event brings several key moments:

1. Lecture on the importance of the Mediterranean diet, preservation of local maritime and gastronomic heritage

2. Cooking show – a unique culinary-educational program in which chefs prepare traditional dishes along with stories about fishing, life by the sea and old customs.

3. Promotion of the digital fish cookbook - a modern interactive manual that preserves and transmits the gastronomic heritage of Milna, accessible via the web platform and QR codes on the promenade.

Through this project, which combines heritage, multimedia and interactive learning, Milna has gained content that remains alive even after its completion – for locals, tourists, schools, families and all lovers of the sea and Mediterranean food.

The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Fisheries and Aquaculture Programme of the Republic of Croatia 2021–2027.

The project brings stories from the sea in a modern and interactive way — "walk, scan, learn, taste!"„

📌 Total investment value: EUR 129,517.50

📌 EU co-financing (65%): EUR 84,186.38

📌 Croatian co-financing (35%): EUR 45,331.13
