Decision on reducing the operation of the public lighting system in the area of the Municipality of Milna

Dear residents of the Milna municipality,

A Decision is hereby made to reduce the operation of the municipal infrastructure of the public lighting system in all settlements in the area of the Municipality of Milna, from 00:00 to 05:30, and from November 1, 2022 from 23:00 to 05:30.

This Decision/measure was adopted in the wake of energy and energy saving measures at the EU level, as well as the guidelines of the Government of the Republic of Croatia for energy saving in the Republic of Croatia of 28 July 2022. The guidelines for energy saving in the Republic of Croatia, adopted by the Government, provide recommendations for savings for households, the public sector and entrepreneurs, with the aim of consuming energy as efficiently as possible so that Croatia can respond to the upcoming energy challenges.

The reduction in the operation of the public lighting system is a temporary solution until the implementation of the project to reconstruct the existing public lighting with new LED lighting.

Tips for efficient energy consumption for lighting suggest, among other things, the use of LED bulbs, which reduce energy consumption by up to 70%.
