The report on the work of the mayor contains a cross-section of the mayor's activities as the executive body of the municipality. With the professional, administrative and technical support and contribution of all bodies and services, and despite the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic, we managed to implement all planned projects and activities that directly or indirectly contribute to raising the standards and quality of life of the local population, as well as the wider community. The mayor, as the holder of executive power, performs tasks within the competence prescribed in Article 58 of the Statute of the Municipality of Milna. In accordance with the legal framework in the reporting period, the mayor proposes general acts adopted by the Municipal Council, gives an opinion on draft decisions and other acts, supervises the implementation of general and other acts, manages movable and immovable property owned by the municipality and is responsible for the Budget, i.e. the revenues and expenditures of the municipality. He held a series of working meetings and consultations and working agreements that, through active procedures and focused action, were aimed at the implementation of the planned activities and projects of the municipality.
In 2020, projects such as the arrangement of the property register and the adoption of the Municipality's property management strategy, the Municipality's development strategy until 2025 and others were launched or implemented, which gives additional value to the Municipality in terms of material and development. After long and persistent work and proof, the municipality of Milna is included in state and county projects financed from the budget and positioned as an important partner that contributes to local and national development. Projects are being prepared that will be financed from EU funds, and work is also underway on new projects for which the Municipality will apply for more funds from these funds when tenders are announced. All planned infrastructure projects have been completed and the collection of project documentation or work on new projects of infrastructural importance for the Municipality, such as sewage and water supply, has begun.
During his term of office, which lasted about three years (October 2018 - December 2020), the Mayor convened 16 sessions of the Municipal Council, at which 108 acts were adopted, most often unanimously, which confirms the very high-quality cooperation and high level of trust between the Mayor and the members of the Municipal Council.
Quality cooperation and trust at this level is a guarantee of continuous and progressive development of the Municipality of Milna, for the benefit of all residents and future generations, and all those who come and who will experience Milna as a safe, well-maintained and desirable destination.
The Municipal Mayor serves as the President of the Milna Municipality Tourist Board and is a member of the Assembly of the Voluntary Fire Department according to the new Fire Service Act (OG 125/19).
