Famous sailing ships were built in Milna, including the bracera, the pride of Bra\u010d shipbuilding. This wooden coastal sailing ship for transporting cargo was named after the island of Bra\u010d (Italian: Brazza), where it was mentioned as early as the 15th century. Therefore, the form of the logo, based on heraldry, is understandable and goes back to the deep past, and the meaning of protection is more than justified, this is about the safest port in the central Adriatic. Humac (where the remaining old Romanesque population lived).<\/li><li>Since the 15th century, Dalmatia has had many rulers, and Bra\u010d has been under several administrations. First, the island was ruled by the Neretvans, then by the Croato-Hungarian and Bosnian kings, after them by the Venetians, Russians and French, then by the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and, until the establishment of the independent Republic of Croatia, by the former state of Yugoslavia.<\/li><li>Sailing in Milna began to develop in 1873, when Milna shipbuilders built the sailing ship Celestial Empire for Frano Bona\u010di\u0107 from Milna, which was also the first yacht in Dalmatia.<\/li><li>The school in Milna has existed since 1834, and perhaps even before that recorded year, as a private school for children from wealthy families.
